One of the best ways to dig deep in scripture is by taking simple Bible notes. Taking notes as you read the Bible helps you process and understand what you read. The more time we spend engaging with a passage, the more we know it, apply it, and live it.
As I work through a Bible reading plan, I love to visually ‘connect’ the truths I’ve learned. Sketching out a broad overview of what I’ve discovered helps me process what I’ve learned and understand the main concepts of this topic in scripture.
You can either download the free Attributes of God Bible reading plan here, or use this overview below to take your own notes.
Or, you can visit the full lesson on how God is omnipotent as deeper resource.
Either way, grab a Bible study notebook and dive into these notes on how God is omnipotent!
God’s omnipotence is His infinite and unrivaled power, demonstrated throughout creation, history, and eternity.
Unlike human strength, which is limited and often unreliable, God’s power knows no boundaries and cannot be contained.
His omnipotence assures us that He can do anything consistent with His character and will, making Him the ultimate source of strength, hope, and trust.

God’s power is infinite, meaning there is nothing too great or too small for Him to accomplish.
As Creator, He spoke the universe into existence and continues to sustain all things by His word.
His will is unstoppable; no one can thwart His plans or hinder His purposes. Importantly, His omnipotence is always exercised in holiness and love, reflecting His perfect character.

The evidence of God’s power is seen all around us.
In creation, the beauty and complexity of the heavens and the earth reveal His unmatched ability.
Miracles throughout Scripture, from casting out demons to healing the sick, showcase His authority over nature and life itself.
God’s power is also evident in salvation as He redeems broken lives and transforms hearts for His glory.

Understanding God’s omnipotence brings peace and assurance. No problem is too big for Him, and no situation is beyond His control.
This truth strengthens our faith, reminding us to trust Him in every circumstance. It also comforts us in trials, knowing that He is working all things together for good.
God’s omnipotence inspires worship as we reflect on His majesty and power.

The Bible overflows with reminders of God’s omnipotence.
Jeremiah 32:17 affirms, “Nothing is too hard for You,” while Job 42:2 declares, “You can do all things.”
Verses like Psalm 147:5 and Revelation 19:6 reveal the greatness and majesty of God’s power, inviting us to worship and trust Him fully.
