Definition of God’s omnipotence
- Omnipotence= almighty, from the Greek adjective ‘pantokrator’
- The Hebrew term “Shaddai” reflects God as the Almighty, emphasizing His ability to provide and protect.
- God’s omnipotence means He has unlimited power and authority.
- He can accomplish anything consistent with His character and will.
- His power is sovereign, eternal, and unmatched by any force in heaven or on earth.
God’s omnipotence is His infinite and unrivaled power, demonstrated throughout creation, history, and eternity.
Unlike human strength, which is limited and often unreliable, God’s power knows no boundaries and cannot be contained.
His omnipotence assures us that He can do anything consistent with His character and will, making Him the ultimate source of strength, hope, and trust.
Key Attributes of God’s Omnipotence
- Infinite Power: There are no limits to what God can do.
- Creator and Sustainer: God brought the universe into existence and sustains it by His power.
- Unstoppable Will: God’s plans and purposes cannot be thwarted.
