How Journal Prompts Can Enhance Your Prayer Life

Confession. I wasn’t someone who journaling came naturally to. Oh, no. Not at all.

For a long time I wondered about the benefits of prayer journaling and how it could possibly enhance my spiritual growth.

Yet once I learned how to start a prayer journal the easy way and let go of my perfectionism for good, journaling became a staple in my daily quiet time with God.

However, there were days the words wouldn’t come and I felt stagnant in my writing. Over time, I started to see just how my journaling time was impacting my spiritual growth.

I discovered these powerful benefits of using Christian journal prompts, including the ways it:

• To process a decision and pray through where God is leading you
• As a record of God’s faithfulness to revisit in seasons of hardship

• As a place to surrender your burdens and lay your troubles at the foot of the cross
• As a way to be completely honest with God (and yourself!) about your life
