Advent devotional on love
John 3:16
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
As we light the final candle of Advent, the Candle of Love, we are reminded of the greatest gift ever given—God’s unfathomable love poured out through Jesus Christ.
The Christmas story begins in a humble manger, but its purpose was rooted in eternity: to redeem us and restore our relationship with God.
John 3:16 reveals the depth and action of God’s love.
It wasn’t passive or distant.
God’s love compelled Him to give His Son—His most precious gift. This was not an act of obligation but one of sacrifice, a love so powerful that it bridges the gap between heaven and earth.
The beauty of this love is that it’s for everyone. No matter our past, struggles, or failures, God’s love reaches out to us.
Through faith in Christ, we receive the incredible promise of eternal life—a life of peace, joy, and hope, both now and forever.
This Advent season, reflect on God’s gift of love.
How can you share that love with others?
Who needs to hear about the good news of Jesus in your life?
Let your heart be stirred by the truth that God’s love is relentless, redemptive, and never-ending.
