Weekend Words of Wisdom #5

This verse really hit home with me this week as I poured through God’s Word, searching for the Lord to reveal Himself to me. Of course He did not disappoint and the words of this verse, “But you were washed”, struck a chord with me. I could not let this phrase go and I kept repeating it to myself. It reminded me of my sin nature and how I am desperately in need of a Savior to cleanse me.

I’ve been grumpy and short with my family this week, and these words reminded me that I am no longer a slave to sin, but I truly had been washed clean and was a new creation in Christ. Praise the Lord that I have been changed!
