Sometimes as moms, the thought of a family vacation brings about angst instead of excitement, simply because we’re already stressed from other areas of our lives.  So take a deep breath, pray hard, and make a lot of lists.  Enjoy the memories no matter how crazy they may be!

  1. Kids must have enough technology for the long trip! So bring old smartphones, extra chargers, portable game systems or tablets. Otherwise they will drain the life out of your phone when you need it!

    1. WONDERFUL idea! My kids only have an iPad since they are small, but I can see how quickly the battery drains and it’s important to be prepared.

  8. This is a great list! We haven’t taken that many trips with the kids, but my youngest one HATED the car when she was a baby. Even a 10-min trip could feel like an hour-long. Ha, glad those days are behind us so we can enjoy a family trip soon!
