Saturday Soiree Blog Party #2 + Winner Announced!

SaturdaySoireeBlogParty_Button

The weekend is here!  The germs in our house have lifted, Hubs is not working this weekend and we are ready to embrace the next few days together as a family!  It’s been a crazy past couple of weeks, and I was THRILLED it was time for another Saturday Soiree Blog Party!  Last week I was humbled and touched that so many new blogger friends stopped by to share their heart and I can’t wait to see the beautiful posts today.

Week In Review

In light of a recent of illnesses in our house,  I bared my soul in How I am Failing my Kids and let go of the perfect mom syndrome I was creating for myself. While raising my kids according to the Gospel may not be popular, Hubs and I choose to guide our children towards a relationship with God, no matter the cost.

This week I launched the first post in a new series, Lessons from Autism.  Being the parent of a special needs child, God has used Joy’s struggles to mold me and make me a little more like Him as I learn to parent with grace.  Get a glimpse into my heart in Lessons from Autism: Unconditional Love.

One week ago I launched the Saturday Soiree Blog Party as a gathering place of inspiration and encouragement. I was blown away at the response and am grateful to all who poured over these incredible words of wisdom and to the beautiful women who linked- up here. May this continue to be a party where God’s name is glorified week after week!  To launch the party I held my first giveaway and after a week of entries……

The Winner is………..Sarah Donegan of Strain Me!! I had to laugh because Sarah was a guest blogger here last week and is a long time friend!  I promise, though, it WAS random!

Blog Party

I was beyond thrilled with the first-ever Saturday Soiree Blog Party last week!  Each week, I will be highlighting three posts from the previous week’s party under the categories Most Viewed, Must Read and Full of Inspiration.  When featured, your posts will appear on my Pinterest Board, Blog Love. Be sure to follow me on Pinterest to stay connected to my favorite blogs.  I love to showcase the work of talented bloggers and one pin could be yours!

Most Viewed

Sarah from Strain Me, shared her heart in “Seek God” and stuck a chord as she encouraged us all to seek Him.

Must Read

Valerie from Grace with Silk captured my attention and spurred me on in my relationship with Christ in “Trust When You Can’t See What’s Ahead.”

Full of Inspiration

Aimee from A Work of Grace: Aimee Imbeau vulnerably shares her story of brokenness but sings the hope of the Lord.  This story captured my heart!

Today’s Blog Party

  1. Thank you for hosting again! I’m so glad your first one was a success. 🙂

I am sharing a post about a time when I woke up on the wrong side of the bed and learnt the right way to love from 1 Corinthians 13 (A Not-So Happy Holy Morning) and a recipe for paleo-friendly Strawberry Shortcakes. <3

  2. I am so glad you had such a great turnout for your first week! Proud of you! Thank you for including me 🙂

  4. Thank you for hostessing this blog party, I really enjoy reading everyone’s blogs and following others. I am not always sure how to comment on other blogs, so forgive me as I am working on that.
I don’t want to comment with a lame comment, so I try to make it meaningful.
I am following or stalking you *winks* through the avenues you give us to do so.
I hope this one really grows huge and we all get to make some new friends and have fellowship with each other.

    Hugs.
    Rachel

    1. Rachel,
I’m so glad you stopped by and I, too, sometimes struggle with what to comment on other blogs! I think there is no such thing as a bad comment as long as you share your heart and your honesty with others. I can’t wait to read your post today! Thanks again!

  6. YAY! What a great first week. Thank you for the printable–one of my favorite verses. I was wondering if you would share what program you create your printables in? ~Pamela

    1. Thanks, Pamela for stopping by and joining the party! I am so appreciative of the amazing first week and a strong start to the second! What a blessing! I use PicMoney.com (free or $35 a year) or Photoshop. I just got a new laptop and haven’t transferred Photoshope yet, so a lot of my printables come from PicMonkey. I LOVE that site!!!! Have an incredible week!
