Our Story: The Short Version

Why Faith Along the Way?

The past ten years of my life have been a roller coaster of joy, suffering and change, all which were filtered through the Lord’s hands. While still newlyweds, Hubs was diagnosed with cancer, which came back again a year and a half later.  Desiring to start a family soon after his first bought with cancer, we spent the next five years struggling with the heartbreak of infertility.  Little did we know that God’s plan included the adoption of two biological siblings, Joy and Bubs. Recently, at age three, Joy was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and we shifted gears yet again.  Although our road has not been easy, God has grown me, strengthened and refined me to be the person that I am today. My path has taken many twists and turns, yet the story is still mine and I choose to embrace each and every shout for joy and tear of pain. Through it all, I felt the presence of the Lord as He faithfully provided strength, comfort and ultimately peace during some of the most trying times of my life.

Psalm168

True friendships are forged through real life circumstances and open, raw emotions that are shared.  When a friend invites you into their life and bares their soul, only then can you consider yourself true, authentic friends.  Consider yourselves my true friends as you glimpse into my life.  You will find that this is not a blog about perfection, but about redemption. I am an imperfect wife, mom, daughter and  friend who is able to live freely because of the redeeming blood of Jesus. While you won’t find 101 ways to organize your closet here (I wish!), my desire is to inspire you with stories of faith and hope, encourage you to trust God every step of the way and celebrate life’s ups and downs with you, my true friends in faith.
